SOLID MINERALS DEVELOPMENT FUND TO CREAT POLICIES FOR REVENUE GENERATION: HAJIYA FATIMA                                                                   06-09-23                                                                                         By: Sadiq Aminu                                           The Executive Secretary,Solid Minerals Development Fund, SMDF,Hajiya Fatima Shinkafi says the 2021 Solid Minerals Industry Report by the Nigeria Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative,NEITI, will go a long way to engage both the private and public sectors to create policies for future implementation and increase revenue generation in the country.
Hajiya Shinkafi stated this during the unveiling of the NEITI 2021 Solid Minerals Industry Report in Abuja.
The Executive Secretary, Solid Minerals Development Fund, Hajiya Fatima Shinkafi said the agency was set to meet the target of seven points agenda of transportation policy in the solid minerals sector recently unfolded by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development,Mr. Dele Alake.
The secretary to the Government of the Federation,SGF, Senator George Akume, represented by a Permanent Secretary in the office of the SGF,Dr. Morris Mbere explained that the 2021 NEITI Solid Minerals Industry Report,was,was in line with the current administration’s policies to diversify the economy through the non oil sector.
The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative,Dr. Orji Ogbonaya Orji maintained that the report was focused on revenue blockages and provision of the data of solid minerals development in the country.
