FMPR/MINISTERS: MINISTER OF STATE PETROLEUM RESOURCES SAYS HE WILL SWING INTO ACTION

The Minister of State Petroleum Resources, (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri says, he will swing into action immediately to engage Regulatory Agencies and major Stakeholders to boost Oil Production on sustainable basis for increased Revenue Generation for the benefit of Nigerians.

Senator Lokpobiri gave the assurance in Abuja while addressing Staff of the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and Stakeholders on assumption of duty alongside his counterpart; the Minister of State Petroleum Resources incharge of (Gas), Mr. Ekperipe Ekpo.

Senator Lokpobiri said, he would embark on field visits to appraise projects under the Ministry of Petroleum Resources for a robust engagement towards an improved Oil and Gas sector.

For the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources incharge of (Gas), Mr. Ekperipe Ekpo who expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for finding them worthy to serve said, Nigeria’s proven Natural Gas Reserves was the nation’s greatest asset and harnessing them would stimulate Domestic Economy, Gas utilisation and support Thousands of jobs for Nigerians.

The Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources earlier while handing over affairs of the Ministry to the new Ministers harped on the need to ramp-up Oil and Gas production with efforts tilted towards the rehabilitation of Refineries and the expansion of Domestic Gas utilization.
