Nasarawa State Government has commenced distribution of relief materials to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy for residents of the state.
During the flag off ceremony for the southern senatorial zone of the state in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule said the materials were delivered to the state by the federal government.
The Governor stated that every resident of the state irrespective of political party and other inclinations would be given equal opportunity for the distribution.
He called on the distribution committee to give priority to persons with disabilities and the aged in the distribution of the food items.
The Governor is expected to flag off the distribution of the food items to the other two senatorial zones of the state.
