KADUNA STATE GOVERNMENT TO EMPLOY OVER 7,000 YOUTHS                                        31-08-23.                                                                 By: Sadiq Aminu                                             Kaduna state government has concluded arrangement to engage the services of over seven thousand youths into the state vigilante service to help security agencies address the menace of insecurity in the state.

The State governor, Malam Uba Sani announced this during a town hall meeting in Kaduna.

The town hall meeting is part of the activities to mark 100 days of Senator Uba Sani as the Governor of Kaduna State.

He said the youths would be trained by Police and DSS at the police college, to make them professionals in discharging their duties.

Malam Uba Sani urged traditional and religious Leaders, community leaders and other members of the public to effectively contribute their quota to address the challenges of insecurity.

Governor Uba Sani directed Local government Chairmen to commence holding security meeting at least once in a month to identify the cause and address challenges through engaging all stakeholders in the local government council.

Governor Uba Sani said the first town hall meeting of his administration was to share with the participants some of the project started by his government and other projects intend to perform their ground breaking in the next few days.

According to him, Part of the project commenced in the state including Housing projects by Qatar Charity and other support projects, Distribution of Hospital Equipments to about three hundred Primary Health Care Care.

The Governor also disclosed that, government had concluded arrangement to commence construction abd reconstruction of various road in all the local government areas of the State with different kilometres sizes as well as Construction of Solar boreholes Solar among others

The Agwatyap Mr Dominic Gambo Yahaya who spoke on behalf of the traditional rulers pledged their total support to achieve the desired objective of his administration.

In his presentation, Secretary of JNI in Kaduna State, Malam Ibrahim Isa Kufaina who applauded governor Uba Sabi for his bold step in reducing tertiary institution fee also appealed to the governor to reconsider the reduction of the fee because of the parents that have three, four to five children at different tertiary institution.

Similarly, the Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Kaduna branch, Reverend Ma’aji Caleb appealed to the state government to complete the abondone of projects started by the previous administration in Southern Kaduna.

Reverend Caleb also stressed the need for the governor to reintroduce sponsoring of pilgrimage to the Holy land to pay for the state and the country in general.
