Confiming the incident through phone to Radio Nigeria in Birnin Kebbi, the Council Chairman, said the rain that lasted for hours also destroyed property worth millions of naira.

According to him, after the heavy rain, the water coming down from the mountains around the town of Dakingari attributed to the flooding.

“For over twenty years, we have been battling with the flood when its rains every year but past administrations of Nasamu Dakingari and Atiku Bagudu constructed drainages in the town to solve the problem”.

According to him, only if when a concrete fence and outlet can be constructed around the mountains, the Flood can be prevented.
