YOUTHS GETS EMPOWERMENT MATERIALS IN KEBBI………….

In Kebbi State, One thousand, two hundred and forty seven women have been presented with starters business equipment and cash by wife of the State Governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Idris in collaboration with the state Ministry for Women Affairs and Social Development.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony and distribution of the skills acquisition materials to the 1,247 trainees, the Governor’s wife, Hajiya Nasare Idris, explains that, the beneficiaries were trained in batches for one year by Nasare Foundation in catering, computer science, costomology, tailoring and shoe making.

The wife of the governor, urged the beneficiaries to utilize the materials given to them for their progress and development adding that, the training programme would continue as more women are still being targeted to benefit.

Earlier, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Halima Hassan Kamba, warned the beneficiaries not materials given to them.

She urged them to use it for their progress and that of their families as more women are still being targeted to for the programme.

The state Coordinator, Nigeria for women project in kebbi State, Yakubu Muhammed, said women in the state have contributed over N600m millon for the project while the project sponsors expended N3.5bn billion on the project in Kebbi State.
