NAF BOMBARDS REMNANTS OF TERRORISTS IN BORNO STATE                                                           11-09-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                          Nigerian Airforce says an early morning strike was conducted yesterday by Air component of Operation Hadin Kai at Suwa, Kala Balge Local Government Area-a stronghold of Boko Haram terrorists near Sambisa forest.

A statement by Director of Public Relations and Information of the Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet says recent intelligence however revealed the massing up of terrorists within the area, which was hitherto, dislodged by the military and other security agencies, with likely plans to attack troops on patrol along major routes to Bama and Mafa local government areas.

Further intelligence also revealed that the same group of terrorists had perfected plans to attack troops stationed around Rann in Kalabalge local government area.

Accordingly, air strikes were authorized with confirmatory assessments revealing several terrorists neutralised and structures destroyed, thereby degrading their ability to attack friendly forces and innocent law abiding citizens.

The statement solicits the support of all Nigerians to the Armed Forces and other security agencies to sustain the momentum.

It also urges air component commanders in all joint operating theatres to key into the directive of Chief of the Air Staff, to stop at nothing in going after criminals and ensure that they are brought to justice.
