HOS INSPECTS DESIGNATED COMPUTER BASED EXAMINATION CENTERS FOR CIVIL SERVANTS                                                                                    13-09-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has conducted a Computer Based promotion Examination for over nine thousand Federal Public Servants and para military officers across the country.

During a tour of some of the centres in Abuja, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan made this known after a tour to various Centres designated for the 2023 Examination in Abuja.

Dr. Yemi-Esan represented by the Permanent Secretary Career Management Office , Mr. Marcus Ogunbiyi said the move was part of the ongoing Digitization process in the Civil Service. there have been remarkable improvements in the computer based promotion examination .

He said, the behaviour of the candidates and their comportment in handling the system is remarkably good and encouraging. We have identify some areas we need to improve on, particularly the accreditation process. Last year it’s a bit rowdy but this year, it was okay but we still need to improve on it”

The Director Learning and development, Mr Atabor Adamu maintained that aside the upgrade of the electronic portal, necessary strategy was being put in place to ensure that the examination is free of human interference.

Our correspondent reports that the computer based promotion examination introduced last year, was for the first time conducted for junior cadre Civil Servants and paramilitary officers of grade level one to six.
