KANO HISBAH TO PARTNER WITH NGOS TO EMPOWER WOMEN: Dr KHADIJAT                                                13-09-22

By Sadiq Aminu                                                            Kano state hisbah board, has reiterated it’s commitment in partnering with non governmental organizations (NGOs), and relevant stakeholders to uplift the standards of women.

The deputy commander general women wing, Dr. Khadijah Sagir Sulaiman, made the disclosure while receiving the association of Muslim women in Africa (AMWA), in her office.

According to her, the agency has put modalities in place, through counseling enlightenment and empowerment, to ensure that women become self reliant.

The deputy commander general highlighted that, as an agency saddled with the responsibilities of encouraging good and , kano board would do everything possible, to protect women and curtail societal vices to have a crime free society.

Dr. Khadijah pointed out that, the agency’s doors are open for positive contributions, from non governmental organizations to achieve the desired objectives.

Earlier in her remarks, the chairperson association of Muslim women of Africa, Malama Aisha Ishaq, explained that, they were at the hisbah headquarters to congratulate the deputy commander general, and seek for collaboration to move the state forward.

She hinted that, the association has members across many African countries, to assist orphans and the needy with food and clothing materials among others.

The chairperson commended Kano state hisbah board for it’s dedication in fighting for women’s rights and protecting their dignity.

Malama Aishe appealed to philanthropists and wealthy individuals to contribute their quota, saying that, it would go long way in reducing the burden in government.

Radio Nigeria reports that, students of sociology department Bayero university Kano (BUK), also visited Kano state hisbah board to familiarize themselves with activities and cases received by the agency.
