By Sadiq Aminu                                                      President Bola Tinubu has presented the APC flag to the 3 governorship candidates in this month’s off-season election in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States.

Former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr. Timiprye Sylva, is the party’s flagbearer in Bayelsa State,

He is seeking a 2nd mandate, having been the Governor of the State from 2015 to 2019.

The current Governor of Imo State, Mr. Hope Uzodinma, is also seeking a 2nd term of office, while the flagbearer of the party in Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, is seeking to take over from Alhaji Yahaya Bello, who will be finishing his 2nd term of office.

Speaking with State House correspondents after the flag-presentation event, the 3 candidates, led by the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji umar Ganduje, said they had strong chances of winning the election.

The off-season election is scheduled to take place on the 11th of this month.
