PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS 20 FEDERAL COMMISSIONERS IN THE NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION WITH 9 RE-APPOINTED FOR A SECOND TERM                                                                                                                   08-11-23

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments of 20 Federal Commissioners in the National Population Commission, NPC, with 9 Federal Commissioners being re-appointed for a second term in office:

According to a statement, Mr. Emmanuel Trump Eke, represents Abia, Dr. Clifford Zirra, re-appointed to represent Adamawa, Mr. Chidi Christopher Ezeoke, re-appointed for Anambra, Mr. Isa Audu Buratai, re-appointed for Borno, while Bishop Alex Ukam, to represent Cross River State.

Accordingly, Ms. Blessyn Brume-Ataguba, represents Delta, Dr. Jeremiah Ogbonna Nwankwegu, Ebonyi, Dr. Tony Aiyejina, re-appointed to represent Edo, Mr. Ejike Ezeh, re-appointed to represent Enugu, while Mr. Abubakar Damburam is re-appointed for Gombe State.

Others are Professor Uba Nnabue, re-appointed to represent Imo, Ms. Sa’adatu Dogon Bauchi Garba, Kaduna, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, Kano, Yori Afolabi, Kogi, and Olakunle Sobukola, Ogun State.

The rest are Temitayo Oluseye Oluwatuyi, to represent Ondo, Senator Mudashiru Hussain, re-appointed to represent Osun, Ms. Mary Ishaya Afan, Plateau, Mr. Ogiri Itotenaan Henry, Rivers, while Mr. Saany Sale, is re-appointed for Taraba State.

Signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the statement says the President charges the new and returning NPC Federal Commissioners to successfully implement all measures taken by his administration to produce and effectively appropriate accurate population data for the country.
