STUDENTS OF FEDERAL SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL COLLEGE, USI, EKITI PROTESTS ALLEGED SHORTAGE OF TEACHERS IN THE COLLEGE                                                                        07-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      Students of Federal Science and Technical College, FSTC Usi Ekiti today (Tuesday) took to the streets to protest alleged shortage of teachers in the college.

The students in their large numbers carried placards with different inscriptions like, bring back our teachers, we need more teachers, we lacked teachers, among others to press home their demands.

Some of the students who spoke to newsmen alleged that forty two of their teachers were recently transferred while thirty two were returned.

The students noted that they had no teachers for some of their subjects, calling on the federal government to address the issue in the interest of peace.

Efforts to get the reaction of the school authorities proved abortive as the principal was said to be in suspension since October.
