THERE WAS LARGE TURN OUT OF VOTERS IN OWERRI WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA 11-11-23
By Sadiq Aminu There was a large turn out of voters in Owerri West Local Government Area compare to Owerri Municipal Local Government Area, Imo state.
At some minutes past Eleven, large number of voters were seen on queue trying to exercise their franchise.
INEC officials said all the Bi-Modal Accreditation Voters Machines -Bivas deployed to the polling units functioned optimally.
According to INEC officials, they have not encountered any challenge.
In an interview, the state commissioner for lands, survey and physical planning, Mr Noble Atulegwu, said the turnout was impressive at TTC poling units 7 to 12 and 24, ward ten, Irete, Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo state.
The commissioner however dispelled the rumor that there was alleged attacks on agents of some political parties in the state
According to him, security agents were on ground to maintain peace and orderliness.
The TTC Irete has a total of five thousand eight hundred and ninety voters.
