NLC,TUC DECLARES NATIONWIDE STRIKE ON TUESDAY                                                                                           13-11-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The Joint National Executive Council of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC ) have declared nationwide strike begining from (Tomorrow) Tuesday 14, 2023.

The President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, Comrade Festus Osifo gave the directive after the meeting of the two centres on Monday in Abuja.

Comrade Osifo said government has failed to respond to their demands on the attack of NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero and yearning of nigerian workers.

Comrade Osifo urged all affiliate unions across the country to obey the directive until the government yield to their demands.

The National Industrial Court had on Friday restrained the two centres and their affiliates from embarking on nationwide strike.

The court stopped the planned strike to avoid untold hardships that would affect innocent citizens and their businesses.
