KANO STATE HISBAH COLLABORATES WITH FILM MAKERS TO CURTAIL UNETHICAL PRODUCTION 13-11-23
By Sadiq Aminu The Kano state hisbah board has reiterated it’s commitment in collaborating with the film censors board to curtail unethical films, and other societal vices in the film industry.
The commander general Kano state hisbah board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa made the disclosure, while recieving actors,producers, directors and other relevant stakeholders in the film industry, at hisbah headquarters sharada Kano.
According to him,hisbah would collaborate with film makers to sanitize the profession and reduce the massive influx of foreigners into Kano for the purpose of acting.
Sheikh Daurawa pointed out that, few years ago, the film makers supported the hisbah board, by handing over under age girls, that travel from neighboring states or countries, to seek for greener pastures.
The commander general pointed out that, the efforts had yielded positive results as many girls were reunited with their families.
He appealed to the film makers, to contribute their quota through producing films that promote the teachings of Islam, good behaviors and peaceful coexistence.
Responding, an actor and musician, Abdallah Amdaz explained that, some unpatriotic directors connive with bad politicians, to promote indecency among female actresses.
He stressed that, filmmakers have a vital role to play, through inculcating good moral values among their fans,as well as ensuring that, they abide by rules and regulations guiding the profession.
Others who spoke includes, the deputy commander general women wing,Dr. Khadijah Sagir, deputy commander general in charge of operations, Mujahid Aminudeen Abubakar,actors, actresses, producers, directors and other relevant stakeholders in the films industry .
