By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC received judgement by the Court of Appeal which averred that the last governorship election in the state was inconclusive and ordered for re-run in three local government areas of the state.

The APC Publicity Secretary
Zamfara State, Malam Yusuf Idris disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital.

It stated that, the party will legally and happily confident that their stolen mandate will soon be returned to them, thereby vindicating that the opposition PDP had during the polls used some security personnel to deny the teeming APC members and supporters from exercising their franchise.

It added that, the declaration by the Court of Appeal, they are optimistic that very soon the people’s governor Bello Matawalle will be back to his rightful position as the Executive Governor of Zamfara State.

The ruling was a clear testimony of their strong belief in God’s choice to give power or takes it as He wills.

In a related development, Governor Dauda Lawal described the court of appeal’s verdict as a temporary setback, adding that that he was elected due to dissatisfaction with the status quo in Zamfara State..

According to him, the outcome of the governorship election on March 18 accurately represented the people’s yearning for a shift towards positive development and progress.

On Thursday, a three-judge appellate court panel declared the Zamfara State governorship election inconclusive and ordered a rerun in three local government areas which to include Maradun, Birnin-Magaji and Bukkuyum.
