VICE PRESIDENT TO DELIVER THE 13TH CONVOCATION LECTURE OF Al-HIKMAH UNIVERSITY, ILORIN                                                                                                05-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima will on Friday this week, deliver the 13th Convocation Lecture of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Vice President’s lecture will focus on “Addressing Nigeria’s Food Security Challenge Through Hi – Tech Approach: The Role of Nigerian Universities”.

At a press briefing, Vice Chancellor, Al-Hikmah University, Professor Noah Yusuf explained that during the visit, Senator Shettima will also declare open a Faculty of Nursing Science Block, Adeta Campus , named after him, and Faculty of Law Moot Court at the Atere Campus of the University.

Reflecting on developments in the education sector, Professor Noah affirmed that private institutions are playing crucial role in complementing government’s efforts in the sector, hence the need for government to support them.

The Vice Chancellor, Al-Hikmah University therefore, appealed to the Federal Government to enlist private universities among beneficiaries of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND.
