BREAKING!!! GUNMEN ATTACK SUNSHINE STARS, TEAM MANAGER, BALL BOY SHOT 08-12-23
By Sadiq Aminu Report reaching us says a team of Sunshine Stars Football Club of Ondo has been attacked by gunmen.
The team was reportedly attacked along Ore-Benin Expressway on their way to confront Bendel Insurance of Benin in a match day 13 encounter.
The team manager and the Ball boy attached to the team were reportedly seriously hit by the gunmen while others players sustained various degree of injuries.
Speaking in a phone call with sports correspondent Isaac Afolabi,media officer Sunshine Stars FC Micheal Akintunde described the attack as a shock and a direct attack to the Akure based team.
He however disclosed that the victims were currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
