GOVERNOR UBA SANI SIGNS KADUNA STATE 2024 BUDGET INTO LAW                                                                      22-12-23

By Sadiq Aminu                                                       Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has signed the state’s 2024 budget of over 458 billion naira into law following its passage by the State House of Assembly.

The Governor while signing the Budget at government House Kaduna expressed profound gratitude to the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Henry Danjuma and other members of the house for the speedy consideration and passage of the appropriation bill.

According to the governor, over 318 billion naira was earmarked for capital expenditure while 139 Billion naira was for recurrent expenditure.

Governor Sani explained that, the budget was designed to bring development closer to the people of Kaduna State

He pointed out that, the 2024 budget which was tagged “Rural Transformation for inclusive development would bridge the gap between the rural and urban areas, revitalize rural economy, promote Social inclusion and address the gaps in infrastructure and human capital.

“Both Agriculture and food security are make Kaduna State Safe and Secure for citizens as well as investment”

Malam Uba Sani Stressed that, for government to achieve the objectives of 2024 Budget, all hands must be on deck perticulerly Ministries, Department and Agencies and government own interprises must braised up and fashion effective strategies that would enable them to improve on their Revenue generation effort.

According to him, Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service has an important role to play in effective implementation of the 2024 budget and must sustain the current momentum of the state Revenue generation drive.

He thanked the planning and budget commission and all those who work around the clock to produce the 2024 appropriation bill that singed into law.

The Governor further called on the citizens of Kaduna State to provide their full support and cooperation as the government commence implementation of the Budget.

“We are determined to led our people to a brighter future, we shall succeed because the people of Kaduna State are resourceful and resilient”

Speaking at the Signing of the Budget, Acting Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Mr Henry ry Danjuma said they consider speedy passage of the bill to enable government deliver dividend of democracy to the people of the state.

Mr Dajuma expressed confidence that Governor Uba Sani has the zeal and determination to fully implement the appropriation law for the benefit of people at the grass root.
