INEC RESCHEDULES RE-RUN ELECTION IN 16 POLLING UNITS IN JOS NORTH/BASSA CONSTITUENCY                                                                           02-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Plateau State has rescheduled re-run election of Sixteen Polling units in the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency Sunday, 4th February 2024, to conclude the process in the Federal Constituency.

According to a statement signed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Oliver Tersoo Agundu, the exercise will commence by 9:30am and end at 3:30pm.

The statement states that the Commission discovered that ballot papers for 16 Polling units in the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency had gone missising on the eve of voting and referred to the security agencies for investigation.

The Commission appeals to all registered voters in the affected units to come out and cast their votes peacefully for the candidates of their choice.

The statement adds that the Commission is determined to see that voters in the affected Polling units are not disenfranchised,
