KWARA STATE HIGH COURT BUILDING IN ILORIN THE STATE CAPITAL HAS BEEN GUTTED BY FIRE                                                                                        12-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      According to a statement by the state Fire Service, the building, which housed forty offices and three open courtrooms, was in peril, with the registry department and litigation office particularly affected by the inferno.

The statement explains that receiving a distress call, the firefighters immediately commenced their efforts to combat the raging flames and save the State High Court from complete devastation as well as prevent what could have been a catastrophic loss.

Subsequent investigation into the cause of the fire revealed that it was triggered by a power surge.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Olumuyiwa Falade has urged the general public to prioritize safety awareness and precautions in their daily lives, stressing that this call to action underscores the critical role that vigilance and preparedness play in preventing such tragedies from occurring in the future.
