KNSG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT IN UPLIFTING SPORTS TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARD                                                                                                              13-02-24

     By Sadiq Aminu                                                       The Kano state government (KNSG),has reiterated its commitment in uplifting sports activities to international standard.

The acting chairman Kano state sports commission, Alhaji Bala Sani Shehu made the disclosure while inaugurating the officials of Youth Sport Association (YUSAN), Kano chapter.

According to him, modalities had been put in place to ensure that Kano is at the fore front, in terms of sports and other extracurricular activities.

The acting chairman pointed out that the commission would provide all the necessary assistance to the association, to achieve the desired objectives.

Bala described sports as the backbone of any meaningful society, as such there was the urgent need to map out policies and programs aimed at developing the sector.

The newly inaugurated chairman, youth sports association Kano chapter (YUSAN), Osita Dan Roni explained that, they would do everything possible to ensure students are not left behind on sports especially football.

He urged youths to rededicate themselves to sports, to reduce unemployment and other societal vices.

Osita, appealed to the state government and philanthropists to contribute their quota by training youths on sports to move the state forward.

Africa 247 reports that, sport is seen as a game or activity that requires physical efforts and skills that is played according to rules.
