PRESIDENT TINUBU ARRIVES ADDIS ABABA, TO ATTEND THE 37th ORDINARY SESSION OF THE AU, HEADS OF STATE                                                       15-02-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                    President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union, AU, Heads of State and Government.

Accompanied by the relevant government officials, the President will, on the margins of the summit, discuss bilateral and multi-lateral matters with stakeholders in economic development.

He will also join his counterparts in high-level meetings on institutional reforms of the African Union, peace and security, climate change, as well as of participation and priorities of the continental body in the G20.

Similarly, he is expected to attend an extraordinary summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS, in his capacity as the Chairman of the regional body.

The theme of this year’s summit is ‘‘Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa.’’
