By Sadiq Aminu                                                     The Senator representing Borno Central, Kaka Shehu Lawan has provided livelihood support to one thousand, seven hundred and twenty  people.

The beneficiaries were selected from eight local government areas that comprise the Borno Central Senatorial district.

Flagging off the exercise, Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum commended the Senator for distributing the empowerment package, which he said would bolster development at the grassroots level.

“Let me commend Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan for donating an empowerment package to his constituents. This would go a long way in addressing the needs of the people, particularly in challenging times like this,” Zulum said.

Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan said the distribution was part of his campaign promise to his constituents, assuring that more of such support would be provided to the people.

He added that each of the 1,720 beneficiaries will received twenty thousand naira as transport fare.
