NOA, NERC ORGANIZES ROAD WALK TO SENSITIZES KANO ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS                                                                                                          06-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      The public has been advised to channel their complaints on issues related to electricity to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

The acting director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Kano office Alhaji Salisu Garba made the remark during a road walk to mobilize the public to a three-day customer complaint resolution meeting organized by NERC.

According to him, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), team are in Kano to interact with electricity consumers and relevant stakeholders to meet their yearnings and aspirations.

He pointed out that, NERC is inviting Kano residents to lodge their complaints on metering, electricity bill, and supply among others, for necessary action.

“The public are hereby invited to lay their complaints and comments”

The lead NERC coordinating team for the upcoming Kano customer resolution meeting Mr Nelson Abiche explained that customers from the Kano distribution franchise are expected to come up with their complaints for on-the-spot resolution.

He said the management of Kano Electricity Distribution Company and other relevant stakeholders would also be part of the meeting.

The team lead advised Kano residents to come out en mass to utilize the opportunity for a better electricity supply.

“The road walk was organized to drive up the probability of the town hall meeting to let people know they have to come out with their complaints that pertain to electricity”

Africa 247 correspondent reports that the NOA and NERC team went around major roads in Kano to sensitize the public on the upcoming customer complaint resolution meeting.
