HALF OF KATSINA STATE OVERTAKEN BY BANDITS- KATSINA REP MEMBER                                                               06-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                        House of representatives Member representing Kaita Jibia Federal Constituency of Katsina State, Mr. Sada Soli has told the House of Representatives that half of Katsina State has been overtaken by bandits.
In a motion of urgent Public Importance, Mr. Soli told the House that innocent citizens of the State are being killed by bandits every day that passes by.
The member from Katsina State noted that despite efforts by the Katsina State Governor Alhaji Dikko Radda, to curb the security challenges, attacks by bandits on the residents of the state have continued unabated
Mr Sada, who said the attacks had resulted to loss of thousands lives and destruction of property, stressed that 17 Local Government Areas in the state have come under consistent attacks.
Adopting the motion, the House urged President Bola Tinubu to direct Security Chiefs and other heads of security agencies to intersify effort in curbing the security challenges in the 17 Local Government of Katsina State.
The motion was also referred to the Committees on Defense, Police for further legislative inputs.
