PRESIDENT TINUBU HAS DIRECTED SECURITY AGENCIES TO ENSURE SAFE RETURNS OF THE ABDUCTED- VP                                                                     09-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                      Vice President Kashim Shettima says President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to ensure immediate and safe returns of all the abducted School Children in Kuriga, Chikun Local government area of the state.

He stated this when he visited governor Uba Sani at Government House Kaduna.

Alhaji Kashim Shettima explained that,
he came to Kaduna on the behest of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s to sympathize and commiserate with the government and people of Kaduna State over the sad incident of the kidnapping of school children.

According to him, the President was personally pained by what happened and he has instructed the security agencies to leave no stone unturned until they return the kids to their parents.

Alhaji Shettima further revealed that the President has spoken with the Governor of Kaduna State four times and he has spoken with him three times about how far with the rescue of the kids.

“As rightly captured by his Excellency the Governor, the situation is pathetic. I will align with his excellency and impress on our friends in the media, we are all stakeholders in the Nigeria Project, therefore we should be more circumspect, let us be more selective in our choice of reporting on the internet of our kids that are not currently with us.

Alhaji Kashim Shettima also commended the media and solicited for their continuous support.

“Once again on behalf of my principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, please, accept our heartfelt sympathy over the incident that has befallen our people”

“Be rest assured that the President is equal to the task. The very essence of the existence of government is to secure the lives and property of the citizens. He has tasked the entire security architecture in the country to get back our kids safely”

Earlier, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State thanked the Vice President for visiting Kaduna to commiserate with the government and People of Kaduna State over the unfortunate abduction of students in Kuriga village.

Governor Sani also commended the ongoing effort of the Federal government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and security agencies to ensure safe returns of the children.

“We have been working with the community as well as the leadership of Chikun Local government to ensure that we collaborate with relevant security agencies to ensure all the children return back homes safely”

Malam Uba Sani further cautioned the media to be very careful the way they make their own report at this critical time , urged them to avoid publicising anything on the unfortunate incident.

According to the governor, the important aspect of the issue was the safe return of the children.

Malam Uba Sani also emphasised that, Kaduna State government would not allow any one to jeopardize the safety of the Childrens that were kidnapped.

Governor Uba Sani pointed out that, the community Kuriga had been cooperative because they are working with Kaduna state government and relevant security agencies toward returning of the children.

“I can said we are making some progress, but we are not going to disclose what we have been doing, is not about politics but about security and here in Kaduna we don’t publicize issue of security.

According to Governor Uba Sani the lives of citizens was more important than anything.

After the opening remark, the Vice President entered close door with community leaders of Chikun Local government under the leadership of Etsu Nupe and Chairman Chikun Local government.
