GOVERNOR  ZULUM DISBURSES N255M, FOOD ITEMS TO OVER 5,500 CJTF, HUNTERS                                                                                                                  21-03-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                         The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has disbursed the sum of 255,650,000 naira cash to over five thousand five hundred members of the Civilian JTF and hunters operating in Maiduguri Metropolitan and Jere local government area.

The Governor also distributed 5,513 bags of 50kg rice to the hybrid forces that are complementing the effort of security agencies in the fight against Boko Haram insurgents.

Performing the exercise at the Multipurpose Hall of the Government House in Maiduguri, Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to the volunteers for the sacrifice they are making to ensure that peace is restored to the state.

He emphasized that security remains the topmost priority of his administration, assuring to invest more in the sector to ensure sustainable peace is achieved.

“I want to appreciate your efforts in complementing the military and other security forces to restore peace in the state. I assure you that your welfare is a top priority for me,” Zulum said.

According to the Governor, each of the 4,513 member of the Force under the payroll of the state government will receive 50kg bag of rice and fifty thousand naira, while the remaining one thousand volunteers will get a bag of 50kg rice and thirty thousand naira.

Africa 247 Correspondent Sadiq Aminu reports that the occasion was attended by the Secretary to the State Government, Honourable Bukar Tijjani, the Head of Service, Barrister Mallam Fannami, and Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar.
