NIGERIA EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL MAKING EFFORT TO CONNECT NIGERIAN EXPORTERS TO GLOBAL MARKET                                                                                                                 22-03-24

          By Sadiq Aminu                                                        The Nigeria Export Promotion Council says it is making effort to connect Nigerian exporters to global market.

The Executive Director of the Council, Mrs. Nonye Ayeni stated this in an interaction through Webinar.

According to Mrs Ayeni the interaction tagged NEPC CONNECT is strategically designed to make Nigerian business men and women to be at par with the counterparts globally.

Mrs Ayeni maintained that the non-oil export remained key to industrial revitalization, economic growth and sustainable development in line Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and that of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Doctor Doris Uzoka –Anite.

She explained that the council had embarked on some initiatives such as double your export, mentorship, export 35 redefined to increase the volume and value of the nation’s non-oil export and earn foreign exchange for the stability of the economy.

One of the Directors, Mrs Evelyn Obidike of the department of Product Development said their mandate was to reduce export reject by ensuring that exporters adhere to sanitary and phytosanitary requirements.

Highpoint of the webinar was the introduction of the management team of the council that will work in tandem with the executive director to achieve the mandate of the promotion of the non-oil exports.
