NNPP UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF FORMER GOVERNOR RABIU KWANKWANSO DISMISSES SUSPENSION OF GOVERNOR ABBA KABIR                                                                          18-04-24
By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP under the leadership of former Governor Rabiu Kwankwanso has dismissed the announcement by a faction of the party that it suspended Governor Abba Kabir – Yusuf of Kano state.

A faction of the party loyal to the founder and chairman Board of Trustees had last week announced the suspension of Governor Abba Yusuf for attending the national convention of the group led by former Governor of Kano state, Rabiu Kwankwanso.

But at a news conference in Abuja, the party’s acting national chairman, Dr Ahmed Ajuji, stated that Governor Yusuf was a respected member which the the party was proud of , insisting that he was not suspended.

Dr. Ajuji described those who announced Governor Yusuf’s suspension as ‘expelled members of the party who were craving relevance.

Dr. Ajuji also stated that they had no hand in the travails of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

The NNPP has been embroiled in a leadership crisis where two opposing factions have instituted court cases and have been suspending themselves.
