By Sadiq Aminu                                                                The Chairman National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON Malam Jalal Arabi disclosed this in Abuja during the first National stakeholders Summit of Nigeria’s Hajj and Umrah industry.

The summit which was organised by the Hajj Institute of Nigeria, The summit brought together stakeholders, with view to discuss address all grey areas interms of preparation for this years Hajj.

Malam Arabi explained that preparations were in advance stage despite the challenges encountered.

He said the first flight of Nigerian pilgrims would depart on the 15th of May this month.

The Vice President Alhaji Kashim Shettima represented by the Special Adviser to the President on general duties office of the vice president Aliyu Moddibo Umar urged Hajj managers to leverage on the power of collaboration to improve their operations.

The Sultan of Sokoto represented by the Secretary General Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Professor Ishaq Oloyede reminded Hajj managers on the importance of their role and the consequences of not carrying out their expected duties diligently.

The Saudi Arabian deputy minister of Hajj and Umrah incharge of International collaboration Dr Hassan Mankhra expressed concern of illegal migrants who parade themselves as Nigerians to perform Hajj illegally.

He commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria for always meeting up the guidelines of the Saudi authority.
