OVER 2 BILLION DOLLARS IS REQUIRED TO REVITALIZE AJAOKUTA STEEL COMPLEX- MINISTER 02-05-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Minister of Steel Development Prince Shaibu Audu says Over 2 billion US dollars is require to revitalize Ajaokuta Steel Complex in Kogi State.
This Minister stated this when he appeared before the House Committee on Steel Development. Prince Audu who explained that the Complex if revitalized is capable of providing over five hundred thousand jobs for Nigerians.
The Minister said the revitalization of the complex would include rail lines, seaport and other critical infrastructures that would guarantee optimal performance of the complex.
Prince Audu stressed that several strategies have been deployed to raise private capital that will help in the resuscitation of the Ajaokuta Steel Complex.
He acknowledged that the revitalization of the complex is a difficult task that requires the support of all stakeholders.
