By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals (ANAP) has urged the Ministry of Aviation to uphold agreements made with unions concerning airport concessions.

ANAP’s new President General, Comrade Alale Adedayo, made the call during his inauguration ceremony in Lagos.

He stressed the union’s resolve to oppose any decisions violating labour laws or established agreements.

“ANAP strongly rejects measures in airport concessions that disregard labor laws and existing agreements with the government”.

The ANAP President General, vowed to prioritize completing projects started by the previous administration which is securing a permanent headquarters for the association and member well-being.

Earlier in his opening remarks, his predecessor, Comrade Kabir Gusau, emphasized the importance of sacrifice and prioritizing member interests to build trust and loyalty.

He urged continued member support for the association’s progress.

“Remember, serving the union is a service to others. There’s no financial reward, but you advocate for the well-being of workers,” Gusau reminded the members. “My doors remain open for guidance and support.”

Branch chairmen from various aviation agencies attended the ceremony, showcasing their achievements and pledging their backing to the new leadership.
