By Sadiq Aminu                                                                The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has emphasized the importance of revitalizing Kano industries in addressing the growing concern of social vices in the state.

Chairman of the forum, Dr. Umar Faruk Gwani, made this declaration during an event organized by the Mai Biyayya Foundation in Kano.

Dr. Umar Faruk Gwani explained that revitalizing closed industries would lead to increased job opportunities, employing youths and significantly reducing social vices such as thuggery, armed robbery, drug abuse, and other crimes.

He urged federal, state, and local governments to intensify efforts in reviving industries,aimed at providing more job opportunities to the teeming youths in the state,with the aim of addressing boosting the Nations Economy.

Malam Kabiru Ishaq Sa”id President of the Mai Biyayya Foundation, announced the foundation’s plan to sponsor 5,000 orphans’ education up to the tertiary level, aiming to secure a brighter future for them.

He noted that the foundation is currently gathering data on out-of-school orphans to ensure necessary logistics are in place aimed at achieving the set objectives.

The event was attended by philanthropists, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.
