HUNGER PROTEST: GOVERNOR NASIR IDRIS PLEA WITH PROTESTERS TO SHELVE THE PROTEST FOR THE INTEREST OF PEACE                                                                               02-08-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris,, has appealed to the protesters of the ongoing narionwide protest  against hunger to Shelve the Protest For the Interest of the State.

Governor Idris, made the appeal at a broadcast to the people of the State on day one of the protest.

He said, Kebbi state has been known as a peaceful state, its people are law abiding and therefore they should maintain te tempo.

The Governor, assured that, his administration is making effort to bring succour to the current hardship being face by the people in the state.

“As responsible government, we will not fold our arms to see that some people course myham to the peace loving people off the state, therefore I’m appealing to the protesters to Shelve the continuation of the protest”.

According to the Governor, he addressed the protesting youth in the afternoon of the commencement of the protest and appealed to them not vandalize government property or loot any of the people shop.
