By Sadiq Aminu                                                                   Normalcy has returned to Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital on day two of the nationwide protest.

Africa247 correspondent Sadiq Aminu reports that people are going about their normal activities without interference this morning.

Our correspondent who is monitoring the situation also reports that most shops are open for business with the exception of a few others.

Commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okada riders, Keke tricycle riders, commercial and private vehicles are also moving freely on major roads such as the Lafia -Jos highway and streets in Lafia metropolis without hindrance.

Meanwhile, a combined team of armed security personnel are on red alert as their vehicles are seen patrolling round the state capital to avert any breakdown of law and order.

In a related Development, about six protesters were yesterday arrested near the All progressives Congress APC state secretariat by police operatives for throwing stones into the secretariat while on procession.
Efforts to confirm the arrest from the State Police Public Relations Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Rahman Nansel failed.
