COALITION OF YOUTH GROUPS IN YOBE, PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN THE SENATOR REPRESENTING YOBE SOUTH 09-08-24
By Sadiq Aminu Coalition of Youth Groups in Yobe South Senatorial District has passed a vote of confidence in Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai, the senator representing
Yobe South in the 10th Assembly.
During a press conference held at the FCE(T) Guest House in Potiskum, the leader of the coalition Comrade Bappa Hassan Adam
said the press conference became imperative considering an agitation filed by some members of the public to recall the lawmaker.
He explained that the agitation was orchestrated and sponsored by some weak politicians, to tarnish the political reputation and image of the senator, after being defeated at the 2023 elections.
Comrade Adam highlighted some achievements recorded in the last one year which include provision of portable drinking water through drilling new solar-powered and motorized boreholes, construction of roads, renovation of Schools and Hospitals, Building of ICT centers, Electrification, and general empowerment across communities in Fika, Potiskum and Nangere LGAs.
While urging all constituents in Yobe South to stay informed and avoid been used as political detractors. Com.Adam called on the people of the state especially youth to monitor all projects undertaken by politicians and unite themselves to enjoy all dividends of democracy.
Responding to questions from newsmen, the leader of the coalition distanced all groups from the selfish agitation, noting that from 1999 to date, no lawmaker from the zone surpasses the achievements recorded by Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai.
He urged every member of the zone to stand firm against divisive politics and continue to foster progress for Yobe South.
