PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT ORDERS STOPPAGE OF ALL ONGOING DEMOLITION OF SMALL BUSINESS PREMISES 10-09-24
By Sadiq Aminu This was disclosed by the State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang during a Town Hall Dialogue meeting with the Coalition of the Jos #EndBadGovernance protesters, held at the Victoria Gowon Hall, Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.
Responding to the demands of the protesters as it regards the state, Governor Caleb Mutfwang said the halting of the ongoing demolition exercise, especially as it relates to business and premises was to give time to government to create more clustered spaces and to establish more markets.
Governor Mutfwang also promised to have hold general meeting with all the youth leaders in the state toward fashioning ways and modalities in creating enabling environment for businesses to strive.
Earlier, some Representatives of the #EndBadGovernance protest in their separate submissions advocated the need for constant dialogue and called on Government to take urgent steps in addressing the various demands that necessited the protest.
Presenting their demands formally to the state government, Mister Sam Odey enumerated some of the concerns which reflects the yearnings of the youths.
Highpoints of the Town hall meeting was the signing of the acknowledgement copy of the demands by the Governor as presented by the coalition.
