By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 A meeting of the Council of State presided over by President Bola Tinubu is currently holding at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting, which takes place annually, and in rare cases when circumstances prompt it, is being attended by serving Governors, leadership of the National Assembly, past heads of government of the country, and some relevant personalities.

So far, however, regular attendees of the meeting among former heads of government are retired General Yakubu Gowon, retired General AbdulSalam Abubakar, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, with former President Muhammadu Buhari joining as the latest attendee.

Africa247 correspondent reports that former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammad Buhari are physically present at the meeting, while retired Generals Yakubu Gowon and AbdulSalam Abubakar are joining virtually.

The meeting is a forum where state of the nation is reviewed, in-depth discussions deliberated, and appreciable recommendations made.
