The destroyed property included a newly constructed one storey staff quarters, ultra modern auditorium complex built by former Senator Stella Oduah as a constituency project to Anambra North Senatorial Zone, over five hundred different economic trees, perimeter fences among others.

Speaking shortly after conducting Journalists round the Sports facility, the President, Onitsha Sports Club, Chief Daniel Okafor, accused some prominent persons in the area whom he described as land grabbers invaded the premises.

According to him, they came to the complex with over one hundred hoodlums and thugs wielding different types of arms with which they destroyed perimeter fence to gain entry into the complex.
