TERRORISM FINANCING ALLEGATION: NLC THREATENS NATIONWIDE STRIKE                                                                                          20-08-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                     Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called on its members and affiliates to be on standby for a Nationwide Strike by Midnight on Tuesday, if anything happens to its President, Comrade Joe Ajaero.

This was the resolution contained in a statement issued by the Deputy President of the Union, Comrade Ado Sani minjibir after an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council of NLC on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Nigeria Police Force had summoned Comrade Ajaero for investigation over allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony and cybercrime.

The summon had ordered the NLC president to present himself for questioning on Tuesday.

The National Executive Council of NLC strongly condemns the continued harassment of the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress and other Labour leaders.
