NSCDC RECOVERS STOLEN EQUIPMENT WORTH MILLIONS, HANDS OVER TO OWNERS IN KANO STATE 26-08-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano State Command has handed over recovered equipment worth millions of naira to the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) and the State High Court.
The public relations officer of the command SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi disclosed this to journalist while handing over the recovered items at the NSCDC Headquarters in Kano.
He said the the items were stolen by hoodlums during the recent nationwide protest.
“The recovered equipment includes:
– 2 Cisco Switches worth over 400 million naira
– Computer sets
– Air conditioners
– Executive chairs
– Doors and windows
– Photocopy machine
– Law and judicial publications
The Public relations officer noted that the items were seized and recovered by men of the Corps, CNAI department, shortly after being looted and stolen by miscreants during the protest in Kano.
Receiving the items, Mr. Aminu Suleiman Birnin Chido, of the NCC Kano office, commended the gallant effort of the NSCDC personnel for the recovery.
He lauded the civil defence for their act of patriotism.
The NSCDC, under the leadership of Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala, reiterates its commitment to securing and protecting national assets and infrastructure in the state.
