SHUN CORRUPTION, ABUSE OF POWER, TINUBU CHARGES 6TH POLICE REGULAR CADET GRADUATES                                                                                                                  07-09-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                     President Bola Tinubu has charged the 478 graduates of 6th Regular Course Cadet, RCC, of Nigeria Police Academy Wudil in Kano state to shun corruption while discharging their constitutional duties.

The President, represented by his vice, Kashim Shettima, gave the charge at the Passing Out Parade of the 6th regular course cadet in Kano .

The President also urged the graduating cadet to shun excessive abuse of power in their duty post, saying ” you should bear in mind that you are serving our nation.”

According to the President, his administration remains steadfast to ensure that Police Force continued to be equipped to improve its services in the are of combatting crime and prevention.

“Our administration remains steadfast to ensure that our police force is equipped to ensure crime prevention and fights in order to safeguard our country.

“We are working to provide vehicles, gadgets and other logistics to the Force to combat crime,” he assured.

Mr Tinubu also states that his administration is working assiduously toward improvement of the welfare of Police personnel, noting that ;”this will ginger them in their duty of protecting the lives and properties of the citizens.”

“We are working assiduously to improve the welfare of all our police personnel that would ginger them in their duty to protect lives and properties .

“We will continue to improve the police service with modern technology to enable them combat crime to the world standard.

“To the graduating students, you bear in mind that you should shun corruption and abuse of power in your duty posts.

“You should put in mind that you’re here to serve and keep the nation safe,”

Earlier in his speech, the Commandant of the Police Academy Wudil, AIG Sadiq I. Abubakar disclosed that out of the RCC cadets, seven graduated with first-class while 128 with upper second-class honors.

He said they graduated after undergoing five-year rigorous academic and professional training.

The Commandant disclosed that the academy is set to commence degree programmes in criminology, security and education, adding that it is working towards establishment of faculty of engineering.

He noted that all the courses being undertaken in the academy are accredited by the National University Commission, NUC.
