NSCDC ARREST 13 SUSPECTS FOR VANDALISM IN FCT.                                                                                                                                              09-09-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp, NSCDC FCT command has arrested 13 suspects for vandalism across the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

The NSCDC FCT commandant, Dr. Olusola Odumosu while parading the suspects in Abuja said they were arrested in different part of the territory between 7th and 9th of this month.

He explained that the arrest was as a result of a tip off and intense surveillance by the men working with the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Department of the Corp.

While advising FCT residents to be wary of their sorroundings Odumosu warned vandals and other criminals to stay away from the FCT as the command is totally committed to safeguarding lives and properties of all those who are residing in the territory.

One of the Suspects Jacob Jibut who said this is his first time of engaging into the act of vandalism said he was lured by his friend.

The vandalized items which includes armoured cables, solar cables, Iron rods among others are estimated at five millions naira.
