OLUREMI TINUBU DONATES N500 MILLION TO MAIDUGURI FLOOD VICTIMS                                                                                          18-09-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has donated 500 million Naira to Borno Government for victims of the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri.

Senator Tinubu who is also the Chairperson of the Renewed Hope Initiative, appreciated all that have contributed in alleviating the plight of the victims.

Represented by the wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, presented the cheque to Governor Babagana Zulum during a sympathy visit to the Government and people of Borno.

Mrs. Tinubu who was accompanied by the wives of some governors, ministers and National Assembly members, sympathize with the people of Maiduguri over the unfortunate incident and prayed for those affected.

She lauded the level of commitment shown by government at all levels, and assured them of support from the renewed hope initiative.

Governor Babagana Zulum lauded the sustain support of the first lady to Borno through the Renewed Hope Initiative that has empowered many women and other vulnerable groups across the state.

He assured the judicious utilization of money presented.

The First Lady and her delegation also paid similar visit to the Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Garbai Elkanemi at his palace.
