TUNISIA EXPRESSES INTEREST TO PARTNER WITH YOBE STATE                                                                                                                       04-10-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                              The Tunisian government has expressed its willingness to partner with Yobe State in the areas of commerce, agriculture, and education.

Tunisian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Mohsen Antit, made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy visit to Yobe state Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni

Mohsen Antit, highlighted Yobe State’s potential for economic development and its attractiveness to the Tunisian business community.

“We are willing to explore these potentials to the benefit of our people and governments. We will arrange for exchange visits between the business communities for them to appreciate the potentials and the mutual benefits available for the two communities,” Ambassador Antit stated.

Governor Buni welcomed the Tunisian government’s interest and expressed his administration’s commitment to fostering the partnership.

“We have huge arable lands and energetic youth readily available for agricultural engagements, education, and other areas. Similarly, our vibrant business community is ready for the partnership,” Governor Buni said, emphasizing Yobe State’s resources and potential.

He pledged government support for the partnership and confirmed plans for reciprocal visits to Tunisia to further strengthen the ties.

Governor Buni also highlighted the newly completed cargo airport as a key asset that would facilitate trade and collaboration between Yobe State and Tunisia.

The proposed partnership between Yobe State and Tunisia holds significant potential for economic growth and development in both countries. The exchange of knowledge and expertise in agriculture, education, and business is expected to benefit both communities.
