MIYETTI ALLAH CONDEMNS ATTACK ON INDIGINOUS FULANI BY TERRORIST GROUP IN KEBBI 12-11-24
By Sadiq Aminu The Kebbi State Chapter of the Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has condemned the activities of the International Criminals called Lakurawa operating in Sokoto and Kebbi States that resulted to the killing of 15 Volunteers security (Yansa Kai) following an attack at Mera Town in Augie local government area of Kebbi State last Saturday.
The Association also condemned the repraisal attack on the Indigenous Fulani by the volunteers security (Yansa Kai) that resulted to the killing of 6 people and burning of over 185 Fulani settlements (Ruga) and as well 42 local grain silors.
In a statement by the Secretary of the Association, Abubakar Lamido and made available to Africa247 in Kebbi State, described Lakurawa as an international criminals moving freely with sufisticated weapons, initially operating around Gudu local government area of Sokoto state, Arewa local government area of Kebbi State as well along Nigeria and Niger Republic borders.
It also said, the Lakurawa has been terrorizing pastoralists through forceful taxation called (Zakkat) and sometimes confiscating their animals, until recently they embrace Augie local government area of Kebbi State where they had taxed many Fulani cattle rearers ranging from 300,000 naira and above which amount to about 20 million naira and over 120 cows and 51 ruminants.
The statement, why appealing for urgent support and assistance to the victims of last Saturday”s represal attack as they have lost foodstuff they harvested, also called on the relevant authorities concern to investigate the matter and brought the culprits to book.
It added that, Lakurawa are hardened criminals and they should be treated as such, “we are not associated with them whatsoever we are worst affected by their illegalities.
