UPPER CALDWELL COMMUNITY SCHOOL IN LIBERIA NAMES IT’S INTER HOUSE SPORTS BLUE HOUSE AFTER DR. MUHAMMAD IDRIS                                                                  21-11-24

By Sadiq Aminu                                                                  The Upper Caldwell Community School in Liberia has named its Inter House Sports Blue House after the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education, Dr. Muhammad Idris.

The Principal of the school, Kollie Jellah Junior, made the announcement during the visit of the Executive Secretary to the school at the Montserrado County, Samukai Town, Monrovia.

The principal said this gesture was in recognition of Dr. Idris’s tireless efforts at addressing the challenges faced by Almajiri and out-of-school children in Nigeria.

The Executive Secretary expressed gratitude for the honour, and pledged to continue championing the cause of the almajiri and out-of-school children in fulfillment of the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Upper Caldwell Community School is one of the institutions in Liberia that has opened its doors to previously out-of-school children.

Dr. Idris’s visit to the country is part of a study tour, focused on tackling the menace of out-of-school children, organized by a USAID funded organization, “Opportunities to Learn” (OTL).
