By Sadiq Aminu                                                                 The Federal Government has issued a one month ultimatum to developers on the Lagos shoreline to come up for proper documentation or risk revocation and demolition.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa issued the ultimatum after inspecting the Lagos Lagoon Estates and shoreline front.

Mr. Dangiwa who took a boat tour with his team and officials of the Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority observed that the shoreline was littered with irregular developments where people carved some areas, and built without obtaining Federal Government title and necessary documentations.

He emphasised that the Federal government would not tolerate such haphazard development and irregular activities on the shoreline.

The Minister stated that developments on the Lagos shoreline must be orderly and in line with existing laws and regulations said the Federal Government was working with working with Lagos State to fix the anomalies.

Other Federal government’s sites visited by the Minister in Lagos were Ogbogbo Housing Project Ikorodu and Ikorodu Low Cost Housing sites.
