RIVERS STATE LAWMAKER CALLS FOR SUSPENSION OF IKENGA UGOCHINYERE 11-12-24
By Sadiq Aminu A member representing Ahoada East, Abua Adual Federal Constituency of Rivers State Mr. Solomon Bob has called on the leadership of House of Representatives to suspend the Member representing Ideato North Ideato South Federal Constituency of Imo State Mr Ikenga Ugochinyere for unlegislative an unethical behaviors
Mr. Bob in a briefing with the House of Representatives Press Corps at the National Assembly Complex Abuja, alleged that the Mr. Ugochinyere has recklessly spoke on issues on Rivers State that he has no knowledge about.
He said it is unconstitutional for any member to speak for another Federal Constituency for which he or she does not represent.
The lawmaker explained that the Rivers State Caucus of the House of Representatives has in several occasions approached the leadership of the House to cautioned Mr. Ugochinyere to refrain from some unguided statements about Rivers State but he has refused to adhered to the warnings.
Mr. Bob who said Mr. Ugochinyere has no authority to speak for the PDP, alleged that he is being sponsored to make all kinds of allegations against the party and some individuals.
Mr. Bob, while calling some individuals to stop putting Rivers in bad light stressed that Mr. Ugochinyere has no mandate to speak for the people of Rivers State.
